Nigerian gospel music minstrel and recording artiste, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, has released a new single titled “Tobechukwu,” a joyful and danceable song that expresses gratitude for God's goodness and kindness.
The single features Mercy Chinwo Blessed, known for her hit song “Excess Love,” The title of the song, which is in the Igbo language spoken in the Eastern region of Nigeria, translates to mean “Praise God” in the English language.
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey references Isaiah 44:23 of the New King James Version of the Bible, which reads, “Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.”
Tobechukwu is a reminder of God's goodness and encourages listeners to express their gratitude and joy through song and dance. It is a beautiful testimony of faith and love, and will be sure to touch the hearts of people around the world.
